I am a ‘T’ shaped designer with many stems always considering the balance between human centeredness and business outcomes. As a creative lead, I understand the importance in growth & positivity; and aim to elevate a teams capabilities through recognition and hard working success.

What I seek is to utilize my skills for professional growth while being resourceful, innovative and flexible for all client needs. My goal is to work as a key player in a creative challenging environment for a company that understands new technologies and cutting edge practices.

EXPERIENCE

The Warehouse Group New Zealand  |  Sr. UX Designer

Feb. 2018 - July. 2020

Product design and Strategy | Auckland, New Zealand

Role:   This role spans across a multi-brand e-commerce group helping uplift existing aesthetics to building a design system for multiple brands. Helping lead the business in agile transformation.

Hard skills:   Sketch, Figma, Axure, UCD methodology, Agile, Jira, Miro, Lots of post-it notes.

Deliverables:  Designing, testing and supporting the build for a group wide e-commerce experience, The creation of a new B2B portal. Strategizing performances in fulfillment. Anything product design can do that helps turn the dial in a positive way.

Boeing  |  Sr. UX Designer

Oct. 2017 - Jan. 2018

User experience, and user interface | Seattle, WA

Role:   In partnership with Pivotal Labs, This project was the continuation of an existing financial reporting portal exlusively built for the EXCO leadership; a single sources of truth that helped track positive & negative performances, trends, and forecasts from the aggregate across all Boeing brands, down to a specific department.

Hard skills:   Sketch, Flinto, Paper Prototypes, Sketching & Whiteboarding, Jira Usability testing, Lots of post-it notes, UCD methodology.

Deliverables:   In a cohabitated agile space, we worked in smaller paired teams, executing in short creative iteration. Building wireframes, user flows, and testing functional mockups and prototypes lead to user testing and reviews directly with stakeholders.

Amazon AWS  |  Sr. UX Designer

Sept. 2017 - Oct. 2017

User experience, and user interface | Seattle, WA

Role:   This aggressive initiative tasked our small team with bringing Amazon’s Simple Monthly Calculator, an monthly estimator for AWS services, out of its dated platform and into a more modern experience.

Hard skills:   Sketch, Sketch prototypes, Whiteboards, User flows

Deliverables:   Wireframes, user flows, low-fi and hi-fi mockups.

Microsoft  |  UX/UI designer / UX/UI lead

May 2015 – Sept. 2016 / Sept. 2015 – Sept. 2016

User experience, user interface and visual design | Seattle, WA

Role:   An end-to-end overhaul of an online financial management tool called Partner Incentives. Working agile, this role required working collaboratively with many teams across the business.

Hard skills:   Proficient knowledge of Adobe CC Photoshop, and Illustrator; HTML, CSS, Chrome Developer Tools, Twitter Bootstrap, Axure RP7, Microsoft web framework, Azure and more.

Deliverables:   Helping implement a new visual framework to improve the Partner Incentives experience more inline with the current Microsoft brand. Wireframes, low-fi and hi-fi mockups, functional specifications, site maps, user journeys, personas, interactive prototypes, full page flows, development guidelines and instruction for execution, A/B testing, observation, flighting, site audits, and metrics.

Industrial, Graphic, Illustration and Project Management |  Seattle, WA

Role:   This contract had me wearing many hats offering relief to project management, visual & industrial designers, engineers and management through creative and product driven deliverables.

Hard skills:   Information design, technical drawings, sketching, CS6 - Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign, Sketchup Pro, Prototyping and Modeling, Materials Knowledge, and Presentation.

Deliverables:   Provide Information design, technical drawings, and illustrations, create and present guidelines and instruction for vendor manufacturing; create and deliver guidelines and instruction for retail teams. Negotiate bidding process for materials and construction from manufacturer. Provide each store with guidelines for build instructions and product placement.

Amazon  |  UX designer

User experience and visual design |  Seattle, WA

Role:   Designing, testing and delivering on many projects across the amazon network, from minor customer facing interactions to complete end to end experiences. Additionally, supporting other internal teams with creative help.

Hard skills:   Axure, Omnigraffle, CS6 - Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Whiteboarding, Sketching, MS Office, and Amazon UI framework.

Deliverables:   Conceptualize process and user flows, refined from complex use cases. Ideate, execute, deliver and present detailed annotations for stakeholders reviews; and ultimately development. Iterate and deliver based on team and stakeholder feedback.

Philanthro Seattle NPO  |  Designer

Graphic design, photography and ux design |  Seattle, WA

Role:   the creation and print of marketing materials for local collaborations with small business and other non-profit organizations.

Deliverables:   Design marketing materials, event posters, and web based graphics. Responsible for graphic and illustration based work for chapter events and web content. Manage and update branding content and promotional materials. Some photography.

JELVETICA  |  Industrial designer

Aug. 2009 – July 2010

Industrial design, Rapid protyping |  Seattle, WA

Role:   I was commissioned to design, prototype, build and direct manufacturing means for concept iPhone cases within a startup environment.

Hard skills:   Rhino, Solidworks, Sketching, Prototyping, Material knowledge, Reverse engineering, Specifications, Tooling and Instruction design.

Responsibilities:   I assisted the creative director with concept art, sketch concepts and final CAD builds. Molds and casts were created to test prototypes. Renders and models provided as guides for further digital builds, which were then prepared for tooling and production.
